The brief
Sandy Oswald came to me with an ABN, a domain and a clear idea: a wood-fired pizza oven hire and catering business in the Hinterland. The brief was to create everything needed to take the first booking, and nothing extra.
The work
The Hinterland isn't the coast. It's misty mornings, dirt roads and pine ridges, and the brand had to feel like it came from there. I built the palette from the land itself, with deep forest green and smoked charcoal lifted by ember orange, the colour of fire at dusk. A hand-drawn mountain mark, honest type and a full rollout across uniforms, packaging, cards and the website took the business from idea to opening day.
