Abedian School of Architecture Lecture Series

The Abedian School of Architecture at Bond University needed a poster for their 2019 lecture series — a piece of design that would represent the school, communicate the programme, and hold its own against the work of some of the world's most prestigious architecture schools.

Studio Joel, in collaboration with Master of Architecture student Joshua Bowkett, designed the final poster. Out of 1,121 responses from institutions across the United States and internationally, the design came first place in the Archinect Spring 2019 architecture school lecture poster design competition — ahead of Ohio State University, California College of the Arts, and Princeton University.

The judges noted the work for its readability, creative typography, and considered use of white space.

This is the kind of project that doesn't shout. It wins.
